DSD: Qualtrics tips and tricks
Course Description:

This session guides you on initial use of Qualtrics and tips and tricks in setting up questions, viewing and analysing survey data and dynamic reports.

This session goes through setting up a simple survey, which helps you set up your first survey. It discusses question types, conditions, import & export, security compliance, and look and feel.

This session will use UCL Qualtrics which is accessible by UCL staff and students. You are welcome to follow in the hands-on setting up a survey, or observe the session to decide if Qualtrics suits your project.

This is a one-hour session delivered remotely.

PREREQUISITES:

DSD: Software for success: Survey tools is recommended but not necessary.

IMPORTANT:

Once you have enrolled, please check that you have received a confirmation email from MyLearning. You will also receive an email with location details at least one day before the session.

Please arrive about 5 minutes prior to the start of the course to allow time for logging in and downloading any resources.

Objectives:

At the end of this course you will be familiar with:

  • Qualtrics data collection web site to set up surveys to collect data, view and export records, and run reports.
  • Configure question types and additional controls e.g. conditions for improved survey handling
  • Data security compliance, and
  • The visual aspect of Qualtrics and options for changes

This course is aimed at staff and students who want to find out more about Qualtrics and / or start using it.
