Phasing out of No Detriment in 2021/22

23 May 2022

There are no new ‘No Detriment’ arrangements for the 2021/22 academic session

The 2019/20 No Detriment arrangements are still being phased out and will apply to some students this year. For example:

  • Students graduating from a 3-year Bachelors in 2021/22 may have taken a capstone project in 2019/20 which will be weighted at 0 in the classification.
  • Students graduating from a 4- or 5-year Bachelors or Integrated Masters in 2021/22 may be eligible for the ‘best 50%’ rule for modules assessed in 2019/20.
  • Taught postgraduate Flexible/ Modular students may be eligible for the ‘best 50%’ rule for modules assessed in 2019/20.

The 2020/21 extended borderline only applied to students graduating in 2020/21. As soon as a student fully enrols on the 2021/22 academic session the normal UCL borderline rules will apply.
