SRS are launching a ‘Looking out for our students’ campaign

A new Outreach team comprising colleagues from across SRS has been created to lead on the campaign.

The purpose of the campaign will be to keep in touch with students and help them feel cared for and supported by UCL during the current period of COVID-19 outbreak.

The Outreach team will be calling home and international students to check on how they are dealing with the situation. These will be friendly calls aiming to reassure students that UCL cares and thinks about them at this time. The questions we will ask are around how the student is keeping safe and well; if they are in touch with family and friends; and if they are able to exercise and look after themselves.

We will also encourage students to engage with support from their academic department or central services if this is needed

The campaign will launch immediately after the Easter break and we will be contacting students throughout April and May in the first instance.

If you are interested, you are most welcome to get involved through UCL Together. Interest in listening, encouraging and demonstrating care for others is the main requirement for the role. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
