The Tamer Scholarship

The Tamer Scholarship is to enable a student from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Ecuador, or Syria to pursue an undergraduate degree at UCL.

Eligible programmes: All Undergraduate degrees
Deadline: 5pm BST, Monday 28 April 2025

Eligibility

Eligible candidates must:

  • Nationals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Ecuador, or Syria; 
  • be eligible to pay the overseas fee rate;
  • come from a low income background;
  • AND have submitted an admission application for a full-time Undergraduate degree at UCL in 2025/26. 

Value, benefits, and duration

The award provides approximately £53,000 per year for a three year undergraduate degree and is subject to satisfactory academic progress. The award will be applied to cover tuition fees first and the rest will be paid as maintenance allowance.

One award is available for 2025/26.


Selection

The criterion for awarding the scholarship is financial need and you will need to demonstrate this in the application.

Results

The Tamer Scholarship will be awarded by recommendation by a panel composed of UCL staff. The successful candidates will be notified by early June 2025.
