How much time can take for professional development purposes?
- All UCL staff are encouraged to dedicate at least 3 days per year to personal development and learning events. This should be discussed and agreed as part of the appraisal process.
- Research staff are entitled to engage in a minimum of 10 days' professional development pro rata per year in line with the Researcher Development Concordat.
- The policy and procedures for taking time off work for personal development and training can be found in the UCL Special Leave Policy
