- Important information for all users
At the current time access to the Library will be prioritised for current UCL staff and students, NHS staff from our Partner Trusts and UCL Alumni.
Access to our Click and Collect Service will also be available to specific categories of new and existing external members who would normally be entitled to a borrowing card. However, current and prospective applicants via the SCONUL Access Scheme will be unable to use the Library as this scheme has been suspended until further notice.
In addition, we are unable to provide access to the Library for any patrons who would normally only qualify for reference access. The only exception is for NHS staff who have only 3 months until the end of contract, or less.
Until further notice, this means we will be unable to admit University of London undergraduate or taught postgraduate students via the University of London reciprocal agreement.
Restrictions on study space bookings and access to UCL electronic resources
Please note, study spaces within the Library need to be pre-booked and are currently only available to UCL students and staff. Bookable study spaces for NHS members from affiliated Trusts are also available at certain medical libraries. Please visit the bookable study spaces help page.
In addition, offsite access to UCL electronic resources is only available to current UCL students and staff. Other Library members will be unable to access these resources at the present time.
However, the Alumni Relations team does provide free access to JSTOR, Project Muse and SAGE. This is available for UCL Alumni only. Please visit the Alumni e-journal access webpage for further details.
Qualifying criteriaPlease can all prospective applicants check the information on these pages to confirm that they meet the qualifying criteria before completing the online registration request.
