The UCL Ear Institute and the BRC’s Deafness and Hearing Problems theme are seeking a Translational Research Manager (£57,279-£62,283 per annum) to drive and expand the portfolio of translational research in the field of novel hearing therapeutics.

The post-holder will work with academics and clinicians across the UCL Ear Institute and the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, together with industrial partners, to develop their translational hearing research strategy.

This will include business development, leading grant application submission to major funders, negotiating research contracts, project managing successfully funded studies and overseeing the design and delivery of associated clinical trials.

The post-holder will support academics on mapping the translational roadmap, raising research funding and interacting with biotech, pharma and private investors, managing regulatory approvals documentation and supporting the design and conduct of early phase clinical trials.

The role requires a strategic thinker with a professional approach to communication and strong managerial, project and budget management skills.
