PPI training to carry on remotely
22 April 2020
Patient and public involvement training offered by the JRO between May and July 2020 will not be cancelled because of the pandemic and will instead be offered by video conference.
Book a place at an upcoming training session.
Sessions cover:
- why PPI is important
- how to find patients and members of the public
- how to involve them in your work and keep them engaged
- how to run successful PPI meetings.
Trainers will also offer tips on carrying out remote PPI. The UCLH Biomedical Research Centre recently issued guidance and advice on ‘PPI in a pandemic’ as well as funding and support for researchers to do PPI remotely.
The BRC has already held successful meetings with patients and the public by videoconference – most recently where patients fed back on use of confidential data in the time of Covid-19.
