NHIR launches fellowship for research 'knowledge mobilisers'

20 March 2012

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) has launched a personal fellowship scheme aimed at people who mobilise research knowledge within health care.

The NIHR Knowledge Mobilisation Fellowship Scheme is open to individuals with significant NHS and/or academic experience and is designed to facilitate the development of health care knowledge mobilisers rather than health care researchers.

The fellowships are personal awards designed to buy out an individual's salary costs, fund a training and development programme and fund the activities needed to complete an identified knowledge mobilisation project.

Applicants will need to be supported by at least two organisations from the NHS and higher education institutions and must demonstrate that they have the potential to mobilise research derived knowledge within health care settings.

Further information is available on the NIHR website.
