Clinical laboratory scientist call

Details

Clinical scientists across Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and University College London Hospital (UCLH)/ Health Science Laboratories (HSL) may apply for to support training opportunities that will enable applicants to develop their skills and capabilities in the lab. Applicants may apply to more than one training course.

Applicants may also request salary backfill for normal clinical duties to attend in-house training at the Clinical Sequencing Laboratory at GOSH or UCLH/ HSL (whichever is the substantive employer). Line manager or supervisor approval will be necessary.

Available funding

Up to £16,000 available to staff across GOSH and UCLH/ HSL. Funding will be administered by the Trust employed by the applicant. Training course dates and salary backfill must be booked or spent between 1 April 2020 until 31 August 2021. Training course fees and travel costs may be included in the application.

Eligibility criteria

This call is aimed at any Clinical Scientist, Biomedical Scientist (BMS), Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) and Research assistants/ scientists who is substantively employed by GOSH and UCLH/HSL staff only.
