50-GHz Gain Switching and Period Doubling Using an Optical Injection Locked Cavity-enhanced DFB Laser

Abstract

We demonstrate gain-switched pulse generation at a record-high repetition rate of 50GHz by injection locking a cavity-enhanced DFB laser. More than 50GHz carrier-photon resonance is achieved by using the detuned-loading and photon-photon resonance effects.
