Global Engagement Strategy 2015-20

To celebrate five years of UCL’s Global Engagement Strategy, we look at key achievements and highlights since its launch in 2015

The Global Engagement Strategy (GES), created in 2015 to increase UCL's global impact, has played a key part in growing UCL's network of innovative activities, collaborations and partnerships across the globe.
 

The vast and far-reaching achievements of the first five years of the strategy – from recruiting a diverse student body to building global partnerships – have been the result of collaboration between the Global Engagement Office, regional Pro-Vice-Provosts, Vice-Deans (International) and delivery partners across UCL.

Professor Michael Arthur, President and Provost of UCL said: “At UCL we believe that bringing together different perspectives helps speed up the process of discovery and that means we can find quicker and more sustainable solutions to pressing world problems. The Global Engagement Strategy (GES) has been instrumental in supporting academics and students to engage across the globe and has undoubtedly increased UCL’s global impact.

Everyone who has been involved in delivering the GES should be proud of these achievements and I hope to see UCL build on this excellent foundation in the next phase of its global engagement.”
