BaseKX is UCL’s hub for early-stage startups and entrepreneurs in the heart of King’s Cross. It’s a place to connect with like-minded peers and access the support a young company needs. That includes coworking space, a busy schedule of events and a team of successful entrepreneurial advisors.
Take a course or workshop

Explore entrepreneurship and develop transferable skills you can use whatever your career plan by attending our free Inspire series of courses.
Learn about the practical steps involved in setting up a business or social enterprise with our free Build your own business series of courses.
If you have a Graduate visa, you can attend our Business basics workshop which will introduce you to what’s involved in setting up and running a business.
Network
Make useful business connections, learn from experienced entrepreneurs and get support from peers at our regular networking events.
Meet with an entrepreneurship advisor
Our advisors are entrepreneurs in their own right. They can advise you on the issues you’re facing, challenge you to grow, and connect you to the people, resources and opportunities that’ll keep you moving in the right direction. Request a meeting.
Apply for a Start-up or Innovator visa
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for endorsement from UCL for a Start-up visa or Innovator visa.
These visas allow you to extend your stay in the UK to set up and grow a business.
Apply to join the Hatchery incubator

If you have a promising venture and need some support to help your business take off, you could apply to the Hatchery incubator programme.
As part of the Hatchery you'll get 24 months of tailored support and dedicated office space for free.
