- Meat sourcing and Halal meat
In line with Company Policy along with the majority of catering facilities, supermarkets and restaurants in England, all the chicken and lamb that we use in our kitchens is pre-stunned before it is killed. The Muslim Council of Great Britain has agreed that pre-stunned meat can be deemed as Halal as long as a blessing/prayer is said at the time of killing. Download the PDF to read the statement in full.
Copies of our chicken & lamb Halal certificates are available to see from the Catering manager should you wish to do so.
- Allergies
Allergies are taken extremely seriously so every meal prepared on site has an allergen note. If you suffer from any allergy, please advise the Gather & Gather Team personally.
Meal Cards
A meal card will be issued for students in Ifor Evans Hall and Ramsay Hall on arrival. You will be asked to show your meal card to the front-line team member at each meal time.
Guests
You will need to speak to the catering team to purchase meal passes for your guests. Please be aware that you are not allowed to share your meal card with anyone, under any circumstances.
