Updating Moodle and Student Handbooks

Core Programme Information now available to update Moodle and student handbooks for next year

The Core Programme Information (CPI) standard text provides guidelines for departments when drafting student handbooks, Moodle sites etc.

The key changes to the document for 2022-23 are as follows:

  • The Provost’s Office has updated the welcome message from President and Provost, Dr Michael Spence (Section 1.1).
  • The disclaimer text to inform students that there may be changes to information due to Covid-19 (Section 1.2), has been retained, although further references throughout the document have largely been removed.
  • The text on Attendance Requirements (Section 5.3) has been amended to note that the policy is under development and that students will be informed soon.
  • New text on Degree Apprenticeships has been added at different points in the document.
  • A new section has been added on UCL’s Student Support Framework (Section 7) to update the CPI text and bring it in line with the new chapter in the Academic Manual. The former section on Extenuating Circumstances and Reasonable Adjustments covered by the new section has been removed.
  • Amended text in the Learning Resources section for the Library and ISD (Section 14).
  • Amended text on the Students Enquiries Centre (Section 15.1.2) and Student Advisors for first year undergraduate students (15.1.3).
  • New and amended text added to Student Representation (Section 17).
  • Amended section on Student Feedback and working in partnership with staff through You Shape UCL (Section 18). • A new section on Volunteering Services (Section 19) has been added.
