Introductory course on using generative AI

All UCL students and staff can now access a course on Generative AI and Academic Skills on UCL Moodle.

Developed by experts across UCL, the course – Generative AI and Academic Skills – introduces generative AI, how it works, and its current capabilities and limitations. The course also explores the ethical issues surrounding these technologies and explores their use in scholarly activities.
The aim is to prompt students to think deeply about why they are are reaching for these tools and how using them will impact their learning, the environment and society at large.
It will take about three hours to complete the part of the course which covers the key areas. There are also some extra activities and resources for those who want to delve a bit deeper on the subject.
Students can download a certificate to evidence completion of the course.
