Kicking off the day, President and Provost, Dr Michael Spence, will give a presentation with an opportunity for questions from the audience.

He will be followed by keynote speaker, Dame Shirley Pearce. Dame Pearce has held senior executive and non-executive roles in higher education, health and policing. She also led the independent review of the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF).

During a lunchtime session, Dr Maha Bali will be joined by a student and another speaker to discuss pressing issues in Higher Education post-pandemic. Dr Bali is an Associate Professor of Practice at the Center for Learning and Teaching at the American University in Cairo.

Throughout the day, UCL educators will lead parallel presentations and discussions. Sessions will cover topics like 'learning through collaboration', 'assessment and feedback' and 'innovative responses to remote teaching'.

We’ll also be joined by Vice-Provost (Education and Students), Jim Onyemenam (SU Postgraduate Students’ Officer) and Ayman Benmati (SU Education Officer). The Conference will close with the announcement of the shortlist for UCL Provost Education Awards and Student Choice Awards.

This year, we are pleased to welcome colleagues from both within and external to UCL; we encourage you to share the external sign-up with your networks.
