This session is part of a suite of sessions supporting Programme Leaders to manage and lead taught programmes of study. In this session, we will consider the tools we can use to identify areas of programmes that are working well and those in need of development. You will also be given an overview of UCL’s quality processes and data, and how this fits with the broader UK Higher Education regulatory environment.

This session is part of a suite of sessions supporting Programme Leaders to manage and lead taught programmes of study. Other sessions include:

- Designing assessment across a programme
- Student support
- Leading your team
In this session, we will consider the tools we can use to identify areas of programmes that are working well and those in need of development. We will discuss ways to plan programme enhancement. You will also be given an overview of UCL’s quality processes and data, and how this fits with the broader UK Higher Education regulatory environment.
In this session we will:
- Increase Programme Leaders’ familiarity with, and understanding of, Faculty and Department Education Plans.
- Introduce staff to the data available to them that can inform them of areas of success and weakness in their programmes.
- Raise awareness of UCL quality assurance processes and policy and the wider UK HE regulatory context
- Support Programme Leaders in planning how they can enhance education and student experience on their programme.
After the session you will be able to:
- Find and use the data available to them from UCL to analyse their programme’s strengths and weaknesses
- Contribute meaningful and achievable actions to department and/or faculty education action plans
- Communicate how the UK HE regulatory bodies affect university processes and programmes
