This session provides programme leads with the opportunity to step back and reflect on the effectiveness of assessment practice across their programme in meeting current and future challenges. Building on the ‘Designing assessment across a programme’ session run by Simon Walker, it provides some practical strategies to help you:
Review the strengths and vulnerabilities of your assessment plan in relation to key principles of effective assessment design.
Consider interventions and adaptations you can make to address current assessment challenges.
Work in partnership with staff and students to help streamline and refocus workload.
Plan for next academic year and the longer term.
