Getting a student perspective on your teaching 11 January (online)

11 January 2023, 1:00 pm–2:00 pm

Peer dialogue is a well-regarded and effective way of developing your teaching practice and often an enjoyable experience for both observer and observee. As an extension of this practice, UCL supports students to work as student reviewers of teaching practice to build up a constructive dialogue with you about your practice. This is entirely optional but the benefits to both have been enormous and staff who have taken part greatly value a student perspective on their practice through conversations with a pair of trained and enthusiastic students. This session will talk through why a student perspective on your teaching could be useful and provide an overview of how it works, how to make the most of it and we will share some reflections and the impact on colleagues who have previously been involved. There is no expectation that you have to sign up, just come and find out if this is something that could add value to your practice. This is something really powerful to talk about on your Arena/AdvanceHE Fellowship applications as well!

This event is free.
