UCL Arena Centre are delivering this session, which is open to all staff involved in designing assessment at UCL. The workshop will explore and share concerns about contract cheating.

You will analyse assessment tasks for weaknesses and discuss ways of redesigning tasks to deter contract cheating. Principles for robust assessment design will be presented. 

This workshop will: 

  • analyse sample assessment tasks for weaknesses and
  • redesign these tasks so that they discourage contract cheating

Important information about this session

The workshop will take place in 2 online sessions.

You should register and attend for both parts:

Part 1

You will have one hour to work in groups and redesign an assessment task.

Part 2

You will meet in a BB Collaborate discussion session to share ideas, comments and questions. We will be joined by:

  • Karen Shackleford-Cesare (Digital Education specialist)
  • Christine Slade (Senior Lecturer in Higher Education Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation, University of Queensland).
