UCL Arena Centre are delivering this session, which is open to all staff at UCL who create and review modules.

In this session you will explore UCL's Connected Curriculum, our framework for research-based education and ways in which to embed this into your modules.  Students' voice and how to implement an inclusive education will also be covered.    

This workshop will:

  • provide resources for effective module design 
  • present examples of good practice
  • link module and programme design and;
  • explore ways to embed research-based education

After attending this session you will

  • know how to create and review your module effectively through research-based education
  • understand how to connect module and programme design
  • know where to access supplementary resources 

Who should attend

This workshop is useful if you are involved in designing new modules, review existing modules or are a programme leader. 

You may also find the session on 'Programme design: an introduction' beneficial.  

Presenter Information

This session is delivered by UCL Arena Centre's Dr Vincent Tong (PFHEA). 

Vincent is a Principal Teaching Fellow in the Centre an is the strategic lead of UCL's Connected Curriculum. As an active scientist leading a NERC research consortium and an educator with an academic background in both science and humanities, he is passionate about research-based education across a wide range of disciplines.
