You will hear about:

  • redefining inclusion and the 'patterns framework of inclusion'
  • projects at the University of Bath that are helping tackle attainment gaps
  • the learning and teaching experience of students from underrepresented groups
  • decolonising reading lists
  • academic writing, assessment and identity in the learning experience
  • learning communities
  • student perceptions of a good learning experience.

After attending this session you will

  • be able to use the pattern framework of inclusion to identify areas for improvement in the student experience
  • come away with, and be able to apply, practical tips on how you can be more inclusive in the classroom
  • be able to better prepare and design your courses by utilising your understanding of the student experience.
