Dr Zachary Walker, Psychology and Human Development in UCL IOE, is delivering this session which is open to all staff at UCL who teach students.

In this session, you will be introduced to team-based learning (TBL) and explore ways to transform your content delivery and assessment methods. 

This session will:

  • explain what team-based learning is
  • present benefits for introducing team-based learning 
  • explore ways to introduce team-based learning into your practice
  • laugh and have fun: an important part of learning! 

After attending this session you will

  • understand what team-based learning is 
  • understand why team-based learning is effective
  • know how to implement team-based learning into your own course

Who should attend

You should attend if you are a member of UCL staff who teaches.  

Postgraduate Teaching Assistants and all early career educators will find this session particularly useful.

About the Speaker

Dr Zachary Walker

Associate Professor at UCL

Dr. Zachary Walker is an educator, author, and international speaker, based at UCL's Institute of Education. 

His current work focuses on the culture of innovative teaching and learning, inclusive leadership, and neuroscience. He has delivered presentations and workshops for educators in North America, Central America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
