UCL Arena Centre are delivering this session, which is open to all staff at UCL who support learning.  

This session will help you will identify blind spots and continuously build a more inclusive curricula and will explore three main themes: 

  1. ensuring students get a clear and deliverate sense that anyone can succeed in their chosen field, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, physical or other status
  2. designing and modifying pedagogy and curricula to represent all students, and;
  3. designing assessment to engage with real-world interests and issues

After attending this session you will

  • support students learning in a resonsible, inclusive way
  • create more responsive curricula 
  • be able to communicate that anyone can succeed in your field, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, physical or other status
  • connect with others working continuously for inclusive learning

About the Speaker

Dr Jason Davies

Senior Teaching Fellow at UCL

This session is delivered by UCL Arena Centre's Dr Jason Davies (SFHEA). 

Jason liaises closely with UCL Institute of Education and is a co Chair on Liberating the Curriculum.  He has been at UCL for over twenty years in a number of research and teaching roles across the Humanities and Social Sciences, and currently publishes on education-related areas such as threshold concepts.
