UCL Arena and UCL Occupational Health and Wellbeing are working with Papyrus and Olly's Future to deliver this session, which is open to all staff at UCL involved in supporting students.

The session will explore suicide in young people and discuss best practice to create a safer UCL for staff and students.

This introductory session will provide key information to create a safer UCL for staff and students. Following this session you will feel equipped to talk openly about suicide and provide you with appropriate support and help.

After attending this session you will

  • understand the facts around suicide
  • know the best practice approach to suicide, and;
  • know where to refer students and what pathways are available to students who are experiencing suicidal thoughts

Who should attend

You should attend if you are a member of UCL staff who has any contact with students.

Personal Tutors will find this session particularly useful.
