Critical Thinking: Science and the Media
Course Description:

This session will consider the presentation of science in the media and the media role in the production of scientific knowledge This session will cover:

  • How scientists use the media
  • How the media use science and scientists (with a focus on science on TV)
  • How audiences relate to science through the media (fake news)


  • Objectives:

    By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Think critically on the presentation of science in the media
  • Understand what is going on when science appears in the media
