Course Description: This blended learning course is designed to help you to use Stata to import, manipulate, describe and analyse categorical and continuous data, and to produce plots and tables to support analysis.
There will be four online tutorials designed to be taken in sequence, one an introduction to the course and three specialist tutorials. This tutorial is Part 2 of the series.
This course involves:
- around four hours of online, video based learning
- directed reading on selected web sites
- a number of exercise sheets linked to the video material
- an online workshop to consolidate your learning
To benefit fully from the course you should complete all of these elements.
Once you have booked on the course you will be able to access all of the online materials in our Digital Skills Development Moodle course. These include a short introduction video that explain how the course is delivered.
PREREQUISITES:
You should have a good understanding of statistical concepts. No prior experience with Stata is required, but experience using a spreadsheet application such as Excel would be an advantage.
IMPORTANT:
Once you have enrolled, please check that you have received a confirmation email from MyLearning. You will also receive an email with a joining link at least one day before the session.
Courses start on the hour but please join during the 5 minutes prior to this to download resources and test out your connection/audio.
