DSD: Scripting Stata Graphs
Course Description:

In this workshop you will learn how to create graphs in Stata scripts.

The material includes the graph and plot commands and illustrates how to customize elements of the graph and export graphs to files from your script.

This is a one-hour demonstration session delivered remotely.

IMPORTANT:

Please ensure you are using Desktop@UCL or the UCL VPN when booking because you need to be on the UCL network to use the system.

Once you have enrolled, you will need to click on the play button under 'My current enrolments' in My Learning to join at the time of the live session. You will also receive an email from ISD containing the direct joining link a day before the session. Please check your junk folder as these emails are occasionally tagged as spam.

We would encourage those who are new to Microsoft Teams to join within the first 15 minutes of the advertised start time in order to test out their connection/audio. The actual session will start on the hour.
Objectives:

After this workshop you will be able to:

  • create simple visualisations using the graph and twoway commands
  • customize elements of your graphs such as titles, legends, colours
  • apply themes to graphs
  • save and export graphs to file and to Microsoft Word

Intended Audience:
Current Stata users who are familiar with basic scripting techniques.
