Pixlr is a popular photo editing web-based tool which can be used with a free account. This session focuses on Pixlr Express (Pixlr X), the version recommended for beginners and beyond. It comes packed with both basic and advanced editing features but is designed to not overwhelm you. Features include working with layers, cutting tools, light and colour adjustments, highlights and shadows, retouch tools, effects, liquify, templates, text and various other elements.

In this session we will work on several image projects and experiment with a wide range of tools. This session assumes you have had some basic experience of editing images in apps such as Word or PowerPoint.

This is a one-hour demonstration session delivered remotely

PREREQUISITES:

Experience of the very basics of image editing such as moving, resizing, cropping, adjusting brightness in an app such as Word is required.

Once you have enrolled, please check that you have received a confirmation email from MyLearning. You will also receive an email with a joining link at least one day before the session.

Courses start on the hour but please join during the 5 minutes prior to this to download resources and test out your connection/audio.
