DSD: Overleaf: LaTeX with NatBib (Campus-based)
Course Description:

This course introduces the main elements of typesetting with LaTeX and using the Natbib citation package.

This is a six-hour course delivered on campus.

PREREQUISITES:

An understanding of the use of bibliographies and citation.


Objectives:
At the end of this course you will be able to:
  • understand the process of creating a LaTeX document from source
  • use a specialist editor program to create LaTeX source code to typeset an academic paper
  • understand the concept of a document class in LaTeX
  • insert figures into a LaTeX document
  • insert tables into a LaTeX document
  • use document structure commands such as chapter and section in a LaTeX document
  • understand the elements of using BibTeX to cite and reference in LaTeX
  • understand how to use NatBib for citation and referencing in LaTeX
Intended Audience:
This course is aimed at those who wish to learn how to use LaTeX for document layout and Natbib for citation with it.
