Train the Trainer - Manual Handling and Lifting
Course Description:
This instructor led course will provide managers and supervisors with the knowledge and skills to deliver effective manual handling training to their teams.


This course is aimed at managers and supervisors of departments who carry out low-risk manual handling activities.


This practical and interactive course will focus upon the safe handling of materials and goods, physically demonstrating safe manual handling techniques. As well as learning about the anatomy of the spine, the risks associated with manual handling and health and safety legislation, the instructor will demonstrate efficient movement principles and the correct posture to adopt during manual handling tasks.


The training covers the principles of teaching so that learners can gain confidence delivering manual handling training. Attendees will be required to submit a training assessment THREE working days after the training.


As this is a practical course, please wear appropriate loose-fitting clothing (preferably trousers) and refer to the Health Checklist to confirm that you are fit to undertake this training.
Objectives:
Learners to understand how to deliver the basic principles of manual handling and lifting techniques to their staff.
Intended Audience:
This course is for managers and supervisors from departments where low-risk manual handling activities take place.
