How to Build Compassionate Resilience
Course Description:

Break the cycle of long, hard hours and total exhaustion. This course offers new sustainable ways of working beginning with self-compassion to create true resilience for ourselves and those around us.

This programme will cover:

  • What compassionate resilience means and why it matters
  • How you can achieve more by being kinder to yourself
  • How to change the habits of mind that keep you overworking and drained
  • Small changes to work patterns that can make a big difference to your resilience and productivity
  • This is a blended learning course. Please note that you will need to spend a minimum of 20-30 minutes on pre-work before the live session. During the session, you will be engaging in small group discussions with colleagues about the content. We strongly encourage you to turn your camera on. After the live session, you will have access to supportive resources to access on demand.


    Objectives:

    By the end of this course you will be able to:
    • Break the cycle of overwork and exhaustion
    • Make intentional choices about how you spend your time and energy
    • Transition to working patterns that are sustainable, healthy and productive
    • Be kinder to yourself and others

    All Staff and Doctoral Students
