Award Certificates Update

This week we will issue backdated Digital Award Certificates to UG students awarded in summer 2023 and PG students awarded in September and October 2023. In February we will send out Hard Copy Award Certificates to the PG students awarded in November 2023.  

Issue of backdated Digital Award Certificates

We successfully launched our Digital Award Certificate service in December 2023, issuing 12,503 certificates to PGR / PGT students awarded in November 2023. Since launch, 67% of these students have accessed their Digital Award Certificates.

We are partnering with Gradintelligence to provide this Digital Award Certificate service (Gradintelligence also provide students with access to their Higher Education Achievement Report). The Digital Award Certificate provides a secure digital record of achievements as verified by UCL and can be shared with third parties via the Gradintelligence share process.

On 26 January, we will issue backdated Digital Award Certificates for UG students awarded in summer 2023 and PGR / PGT students awarded in September and October 2023. These alumni will receive an email from UCL in the week commencing 22 January to inform them that their Digital Award Certificate will be made available to them shortly. They will then receive an email from Gradintelligence on 26 January. Individuals who have not already activated their Gradintelligence account will need to do so in order to view / share their Digital Award Certificate: details on how to do this will be provided in the Gradintelligence email.

Issue of Hard Copy Award Certificates for PGR / PGT students awarded November 2023

PGR / PGT students awarded in November 2023 received Digital Award certificates in December and their Hard Copy Award Certificates will be sent out in February 2024.

Hard Copy Certificates will be sent to the student’s home address as recorded in Portico.  

• UK Addresses: Documents are dispatched by first class Royal mail. Students will receive an email to notify them when their documents are due to be dispatched. 
• EU and International Addresses: Documents are dispatched by DHL (International). Students will receive an email to notify them when their documents are due to be dispatched with tracking information.
