New workflow for Programme Transfer requests from 1 November

We are developing a new workflow on Portico to replace C2RS for Programme Transfer requests. The new workflow is currently being tested by representatives from faculties and departments, the Student Records team and the Student Immigration and Compliance team.

We plan to have the workflow ready for onboarding and familiarisation of staff involved in processing transfer requests from mid-October and then plan to go live to students from 1 November. All Programme Transfer requests received before 1 November should be submitted and progressed on C2RS as usual.

In addition to the introduction of the new workflow, the Programme Transfers section of the Academic Manual will be updated for 23/24 to provide a service standard of 10-working days for Programme Transfer requests to be considered by the relevant Faculty / Department, and a decision made and communicated to the student. Where there is unavoidable delay in making a decision, the relevant Department or Faculty approver must inform the student of the reason for the delay and indicate a new deadline within the 10 days. This will enhance student experience by setting expectations and providing clarity.

The 10-working day service standard does not include VISA / ATAS applications and approvals where required as illustrated below:
