Post Exam Board module assessment changes

23 May 2022

Timeline of activities for updating assessments prior to Module Catalogue refresh and Module Selection for new students

On Friday 27 May spreadsheets will be posted on Student Records – Faculty Teams channels to capture assessment changes to modules being delivered in 2022/23. The process will be as per recent years, where current assessment component details are listed with an invitation to record any changes which will be updated on Portico and the Module Catalogue.

Some new ‘Assessment Type’ codes are being introduced to better map them to the Assessment Operating Model and the respective Extenuating Circumstances mitigations and SORAs. Details of all active assessment types and what they mean will be posted on the main assessment sheets to aid review. We will also be collecting assessment dates and deadlines, where these are known or are easily provided, that sit outside of central exam scheduling.

The spreadsheets will remain available to Academic Departments for amendments until Friday 15 July, with a further week available for Faculties to complete approvals of proposed changes. Once approved changes have been processed, they will be visible in Portico and will feature in the Module Catalogue following its refresh in late August, in order to support new students’ module selection in early September.
