Progression and Award Algorithms – Summer Exam Boards

We are starting to prepare for this summer’s examboards. In order to ensure the progression and award algorithms are correct for your programmes we are asking you to check the progression and award descriptions on Portico. This is a very similar process to last year, the main change for Undergraduates this year is that most 3 year programmes will have the capstone module in the first year. This has been incorporated into the descriptions to ensure its clear to students and staff how the awards are being calculated.  

How do I check them? 

1. Go to the ‘Awards, Assessments and Achievements’ area of Portico.
2. In the ‘Progression and Award Process’ container, select 'View Programme Progression and award Rules' 
3. Select your programme (s) 
4. Review the wording for cohorts being considered at examboards this year 
5. Fill in this form if you spot any issues  
6. Academic Services will clarify on any next steps 

Please check them by the 22nd April.  

Please note we are just doing this for Undergraduates and any PG programmes with examboards in the summer at the moment.
