Coming Soon: Set up your Progression and Award Rules for upcoming boards

Academic Services will shortly be contacting departments to check and feedback on their Progression and Award rules held in Portico, in preparation for this summer’s exam boards.

The Progression and Award Rules have three purposes:

1. They tell staff and students the regulations on their programme, in Plain English
2. They are the formal home of all the derogations and variations in use on programmes across UCL
3. They form the foundation of the algorithms built into Portico for the calculation of exam board results

There are hundreds of different rules in use across UCL, so it is very important that departments engage in the checking and approval process so that we can make sure that your exam boards run as smoothly as possible.
