A summary of what Academic Services has been doing over the last year

It has been another busy year in Academic Services. Below you will find highlights of the work that Academic Services has been involved in over the last year:

  • 617 departmentally managed assessments onboarded and set up on AssessmentUCL for the  2021/22 academic session, of which 378 have already been delivered to students
  • 51,000 enquiries (including emails, AskUCL, Teams etc.) logged by the Student Records team
  • 12 IQRs were completed last year
  • Over 3400 diets put in place for 44205 students for module registration (Sept 2021 and Jan 2022 MR) 
  • 7861 2020/21 undergraduate new starters registered for the HEAR. And c20000 HEARs refreshed.
  • 2218 students have engaged with new interruptions workflow on Portico
  • From 1 Jan 21 – 31 December 21:
    • Processed 20,847 awards, 11,500 PGT awards at Autumn Boards
    • Certificates sent to 122 Countries
    • 15,307 e-transcripts processed
  • 77 Academic Misconduct Panels held with 45 student Expulsions
  • 1076 participants in UCL’s new Understanding Academic Integrity course
  • In Autumn term 2021-22, UCL’s Education Committee approved the following taught programmes of study:

    • MEng Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
    • MA Intercultural Communication
    • MA Public History
    • MSc Data Science and Public Policy (Economics / Political Science)
