Submission of Question Papers
14 February 2022
AssessmentUCL Training available
Question Paper requests will be issued to ELOs immediately following the publication of the Final Assessment Timetable on 28 February.
As was the case last year, the Central Assessment Team will be setting up the assessment instances on AssessmentUCL and uploading the question papers.
The deadline for receipt of papers will be 11 March.
For those of you who wish to take advantage of a later deadline and load the question papers onto AssessmentUCL yourselves, the deadline will be 4 April.
The Central Assessment Team will retain responsibility for activating the assessments once the papers have been uploaded.
A programme of training will be provided on exam paper upload and other functionality within AssessmentUCL. Please use this link for details. The relevant training for ELOs and Teaching Administrators is “Managing assessments on AssessmentUCL”.
USING FLOWMULTI IN ASSESSMENT-UCL?
Where we have been made aware that you intend to author one or more assessment/exam directly on the AssessmentUCL platform, you will not be sent a paper request. The Central Assessment Team will create the assessment instance in AssessmentUCL for you; and the deadline for attaching your questions will be 4 April. The Central Assessment Team will remain responsible for activating the flow once you have attached the questions. If you need any assistance with this process, please liaise with your Digital Assessment Advisor.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING EXAM DURATIONS
Please check what you are expecting the students to do in relation to scanning and uploading. If you are requiring them to undertake a combination of typed and hand-written work or submit multiple files, will this be achievable by students within the 20 minute upload window? If not, then you may want to consider extending your exam duration to cover this.
If the duration does need to be extended, please advise via the draft review timetable process – deadline for review Friday 18 February. Once the final has been published it will not be possible to change durations on the timetable
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR QUESTION PAPERS CONTAIN CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS WITH REGARD TO HOW YOU EXPECT THEM TO FORMAT THEIR ANSWERS AND HOW TO PRESENT ANY HAND-WRITEN WORK.
