Introducing the Portico Governance Team

The Portico Governance Team has been established in Academic Services to embed a culture of operational excellence in the use of Portico, UCL's student information system. The members of the team are:

• Paula Speller - Head of Portico Governance & Research Student Management
• Eamonn McEvoy & Thamina Begum - Senior Portico Governance Officers

The focus of the newly formed team is to:

• Provide greater clarity and rigour in student information management
• Upskill and train staff to have greater understanding of how Portico supports their work
• Ensure use of consistent coding and data management policies
• Improve oversight of data used by downstream systems
• Support further development and enhancement of Portico

Other areas of responsibility include the bi-annual publication of the Module Catalogue and supporting ISD and Professional Services teams with the annual Portico/SITS upgrade and other matters affecting the Portico service.
