Timeframes and eligibility criteria for attending 2021 Graduation Ceremonies
Given the uncertainties around the pandemic and the UK Government restrictions, UCL has decided to postpone in-person Ceremonies until 2022.
Students who are due to graduate in 2021 will be invited to a Virtual Ceremony. The virtual ceremonies will take place during July, September and October 2021.
Invitations to register for July 2021 Ceremonies will be sent out week commencing Monday 19 April 2021. Students wishing to attend a virtual ceremony will need to register by Wednesday 12 May by 12 midday. Final ceremony dates will then be confirmed to students by the end of May.
Invitations for Autumn Ceremonies will be sent out week commencing Monday 26 July.

Eligibility
Awards conferred by the following deadlines will be invited to attend a 2021 virtual ceremony:
Undergraduate students | 01 August 2021 |
Taught Graduate and PGCE students | 01 April 2021 |
January LSA | 01 April 2021 |
Research Graduate students | 28 April 2021 |
After Invitations have been sent out, Departments will be able to run reports in Portico to check which students have been invited to a virtual ceremony. The reports can be found in the Awards, Assessments and Achievements section in the Progression and Awards container. The reports are:

Staff Attendance at the 2021 Virtual Ceremonies
Staff can register to attend the Virtual Graduation Ceremonies either by completing the online application form here, or by accepting the Outlook calendar invitations which have been circulated.
