Programme Summaries Update

The Programme Summaries ‘editor’ functionality will soon be available for staff. The previously collected Programme Summary data has been migrated into the new tool. Departments and faculties will have the opportunity to review and update information to accurately reflect their programmes.

Retrospective activities to ‘fix’ previous programme summaries will be done once the Post-graduate Prospectus has been finalised. Major/moderate amendments have been updated by Academic Services. While minor amendments can be retrospectively updated, we will provide more communication in due course.

Postgraduate Prospectus 2021/22 Copy Call

As the ‘single source of truth’ for programme information, the Programme Summaries will be used for the 2021/22 Postgraduate prospectus. This will replace the separate copy call, currently completed in ReportLab, by enabling departments to update the relevant fields of the Programme Summaries directly through Portico.

There will be specialist content training provided to support departments in doing this, and to ensure the updated content is both compliant with the Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA) regulations and promotes programmes in the best way.

This provides us with a fantastic opportunity to enhance the marketing of our programmes and streamline internal processes by removing the duplication of information.

Key changes:

• Online editor with information stored centrally.
• Departments will be able to add multiple leads and administrators to the Programme summary who will be able to access and update the information.
• Departments able to edit Programme Summary information in one location
• Confirmation of successful updated and saved data and well as alerts for issues.
