Pre-Nomination – revised processes

From 15th September use Office Forms to submit External Examiner nominee details

Departments will be used to providing External Examiners nominee details via email. The process has been revised slightly where we now require colleagues to complete an Office Form instead using the updated requirements. 

Please refer to Chapter 9, Section 4.4.1 (Process of Nomination) of the Academic Manual for further details about the updated criteria and process prior to completing the Pre-nomination form below:

Once submitted, our team will contact the External Examiner and request they complete a separate brief form to record their Date of Birth and City/Town of Residence, so departmental colleagues no longer need to request this from the External Examiner. 

Our team will set up the nomination after receiving complete data from departments and the External Examiner via the Office Forms. Please note from 15th September we will no longer accept emails with nomination data and we will ask you to resubmit by completing the online form.   

NB: PG External Examiners complete their duties after the Final Board has met and therefore are still active for the current 2018-19 external examining session for BoE meetings that occur during the coming Autumn term (2019). There is no need to request an extension for those External Examiners to complete the forthcoming PG BoE meeting, even if this meeting takes place after 31st August 2019.
