About the qualification
Introduced in 2001, and awarded by universities and colleges of higher education, foundation degrees give graduates an employment-related higher education qualification in areas such as construction, business, finance, IT and Law.

Award of the Foundation Degree.
Notes
The foundation degree may allow second year entry provided that an acceptable standard has been achieved and that the degree programme’s year one content has been covered. Dean of Student (Academic) approval would be required.
