Mission and Vision
The main objective of a MICROBIOLOGY@UCL domain is to bring together those members of UCL with interests in Microbiology to create a collegiate and inclusive community of UCL staff and students interested in microbiology with the view of strengthening UCL’s research, teaching and innovation base in Microbiology.
Aims and Objectives
The overall objective of the MICROBIOLOGY@UCL domain will be continue to build a community interested in Microbiology, with the view of strengthening research, teaching and innovation, as well as engaging the public with the wonders of the microbial world. Our aims are:
- To identify and engage with all those at UCL with interests in Microbiology.
- To bring the UCL community together to facilitate discussion and collaboration.
- To identify our strengths and weaknesses in research and innovation with a view to strengthening the UCL impact from Microbiology.
- To identify and implement strategies for research and innovation.
- To identify possible collaborations with industry and innovation partners.
- To work with the research councils and other funders to identify synergies in funding opportunities for research, innovation and doctoral training.
Strategic Priorities
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between staff and students.
- Foster a community keen to engage with industry and facilitate these interactions.
- Foster a community that is keen to promote Microbiology to the public through public engagement activities.
