The career pathway for pharmacists in the NHS normally requires further study leading to a Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice.

This initiative has linked into the core course for the Joint Programme Board Diploma offered through the UCL School of Pharmacy. The aim is to widen the core training to include clinical trials and for all students with a further interest to have an opportunity to undertake a “Defined Area of Practice”.
