After learning a few languages in different countries, I graduated from UCL with a BA in Linguistics. I then moved onto to do an MSc in Neuroscience, Language and Communication at UCL and completed a project on the effects of dyslexia and language differences under Prof. Cathy Price. For my PhD (again at UCL), I investigated the functional role of the ventral occipito-temporal cortex and its anatomical connectivity in reading, supervised by Dr Joseph Devlin & Prof. Sophie Scott.

My primary research interests are the neural information processing and the anatomical connectivity that contribute to reading. I use functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and diffusion-weighted MRI with tractography.

I am currently working with Dr Mairead MacSweeney, examining the neural reading network in deaf adults.
