Results emails will be sent out in batches throughout the day. Due to the large number of results being released, emails will arrive throughout the day and evening. These emails are viewable on mobile devices.

Results for Postgraduate Taught students will also be available to view in Portico from Tuesday 29 November 2022.

Important

Most Postgraduate students will receive their results on Monday 28 November, apart from a small number of non-standard programmes where the Exam Board will be held after this date.

Departments will advise students if their results will not be available on the 28 November 2022. If you do not receive your results email on the 28 November 2022, and you have not been advised otherwise, please contact your department in the first instance. If you have any queries regarding your results, please contact your department to discuss.

Certificates and transcripts

Final degree documents

Your degree certificate and 5 copies of your official transcript will be posted to your home address within five months from the release of your results – please make sure that your home address details are up to date on Portico by Wednesday 30 November 2022.

Please note: if you change your address after this date, your degree documents will be sent to your previous address, and you will need to arrange to have your documents redirected or collected. If you are unsure where you will be living over the next few months, please use the address of a family member or friend who can receive the documents on your behalf.

If your home address is in Russia or Iran, please note that courier services are not able to deliver to these countries at present, and you should provide an alternative address for your documents to be delivered to.

If you require confirmation of your award prior to receipt of your certificate you will be able to download a Statement of Award direct from the ‘Post Study Options’ tab on your Portico home page from Tuesday 29 November 2022. This is an official letter that can be used as proof that your award was conferred by UCL.

E-Transcript

If you require an e-transcript of your results for third-party verification purposes, you can request one via the online store from Tuesday 29 November 2022. Please visit the transcripts webpage for further information.

An e-transcript is an official electronic document containing a full record of confirmed academic results and can be used for third party verification purposes, for example job applications, applications for further study, visa requirements or third-party verification by a solicitor.

Please allow 15 working days to process an order.

Please note: Due to the Christmas closure period, orders for e-transcripts placed after Friday 09 December 2022 may not be processed before UCL closes on Friday 23rd December 2022. Normal service will resume from Tuesday 03 January 2023.

UCL also offers a third-party verification service via HEDD.
