CONVINCE Study

Professor Andrew Davenport was a member of the steering committee and led UCL’s participation in the CONVINCE study that was presented at the ERA in the Late Breaking Clinical Trials session on 16^th June and published simultaneously in the New England Journal of Medicine. High volume hemodiafiltration proved to be superior to haemodialysis in reducing mortality.  This is the first clinical trial to demonstrate that adjustments to dialysis treatment impact on patient mortality rates.
